Buxton Spa Bakery was established on its current site in 1992 by Mike and Peter Higgins. The Higgins family have been supplying wonderfully home baked products around the Derbyshire area for generations but now the Bakery send product to all areas of the United Kingdom and Ireland and even over to Europe and the USA.
With Pete having retired in 2006, Mike Higgins is now Managing Director and has a management team around him dedicated to continually developing the business through our on-going strategy of product excellence and customer service focus. State of the art production techniques have ensured the Bakery has been able to protect the integrity of the products while keeping up with the ever increasing demands of supplying a modern retail environment.

When the Bakery first opened it was the Holmfield Bakery brand that dominated production. The brand has a reputation for great product ranges with a wide variety of flavour profiles all wrapped in the highest quality light pastry case with a collection of mouthwatering toppings such as our famous bakewell tarts. Not just a traditional Bakewell, Buxton produce a range of fruit flavoured Bakewell’s giving a range of treats to suit your mood. Our pies, tarts and crumbles offer the perfect teatime treat for all the family and also come in a wide range of tempting flavours.
